About
My Experience and approach
My practice draws from years of study and clinical experience in trauma, grief, and integrative psychotherapy. I work from the three-stage model of trauma recovery — safety, processing, and reconnection — and an understanding of how the nervous system shapes our emotional life.
In supporting clients through grief, I reference Worden’s Four Tasks of Mourning, Kübler-Ross’s Five Stages, and the Dual Process Model, recognising that grief is cyclical and uniquely experienced by each person.
Therapy with me integrates the cognitive, emotional, and bodily dimensions of healing. Drawing on principles from Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, and somatic awareness, I help you:
Reconnect with your body and breath
Recognise emotional and physical reactions with curiosity
Understand what drives those reactions
Choose how to respond in alignment with your true wants and needs
This integrative process supports deep healing, emotional regulation, and reconnection with your authentic self.
With years of experience in counselling, I support individuals through life’s many transitions — moments of loss, uncertainty, or change that invite us to pause and rediscover who we are and what we need.
My work has included supporting a diverse range of clients — from veterans and carers to those navigating identity shifts, burnout, injury and grief. Across all experiences, my focus remains the same: to help people reconnect with themselves, understand their emotions and reactions, and make choices that align with their authentic needs and values.
I bring a trauma-informed and integrative approach that combines cognitive understanding, emotional awareness, and body-based connection. This allows individuals to not only make sense of what they’re feeling, but also to regulate, heal, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My aim is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can feel seen, supported, and empowered to navigate change, process grief, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and true to you.
My Approach
I am a counsellor and psychotherapist offering online sessions across Australia.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in trauma-informed, somatic, and psychodynamic principles, integrating the cognitive, emotional, and bodily dimensions of experience.
I believe in creating a safe and steady space for you to explore what’s been heavy to hold — where you are met with warmth, respect, and deep understanding.
My approach emphasises strength-based practices and the development of resilience, helping you reconnect with your inner resources and cultivate a hopeful outlook on your future.
My role is to walk beside you with empathy and curiosity, supporting you to make sense of your experiences and reconnect with your own inner wisdom.
